Those 2 skeletons, before they were eaten by maggots, worms and whatnot, they were enjoying themselves for the last time, because they knew it was about to end and the thing they most loved in life, were themselves, like a one. The crypts around them, are the sign of death and darkness that was surrounding them with fear, but yet with so much love they gave everything they had with pleasure. That's what made them forget about everything around them and just feel like a new reborn of life...or death.
